Red Bug Motors rents electric neighborhood vehicles for touring Jekyll Island to see all of the historic sites, woodlands, lakes and wildlife with a very low impact on the environment. The name comes from the first vehicles rented on Jekyll Island beginning in 1919.  They were manufactured by Red Bug Motors and sold all over the world. We offer two, four and six passenger electric street legal cars on Jekyll Island. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driving license, full coverage auto insurance and a active credit card. Our Office is located in the Jekyll Island Airport terminal building.
